Knott’s Island – North Carolina

September 27, 2013
My mother suggested that we take a trip to Knott’s Island in the Currituck Sound, about an hour North of us in Kitty Hawk; known for duck hunting, fishing, orchards, vineyards, and farms.  We missed the ferry to the island so we took the long way around, over the marshland bridge, came back home on the ferry.

Intracoastal waterway

cotton fields and graveyards

Martin’s Vineyard

Rows of pick your own veggies

Scuppernong grapes

Ferry ride back to the mainland
