Sharing Some Love Between Sistas

My sister Monica is seventeen years old.
Absolutely gorgeous and probably smarter than you.
She reads while observing and soaking up all the knowledge that passes by.
Monica constantly reminds me that unlike everyone else’s
sister she only gets to see me every 6 months or so.
Being an older sister is a very demanding role I play. I am usually a pretty good one.
Monica’s spring break trip was going to be the first time the two of us had a vacation together. She teaches me so much about things
I tend to ignore and reminds me of their importance.
Doesn’t hesitate to tell me when I’m doing something wrong and well she loves me no matter how weird I might get.
I can feel it even when I am far away. I hope you know that Mon..

She adapted quickly to staying on the boat as most people do who have a brain. Unfortunately some of us have a harder time locating it.
I set her up in a nice bed in our kitchen slash living room slash storage area.
It was awesome waking up to see my little sister every morning. We had such a special time together.
I helped her find her prom dress and although I am sure she doesn’t agree,
I don’t think our taste is as different as we thought.
Her wild side just needed a little push! hahaa! So after a successful prom dress shopping and a lovely visit
to our favorite place, TA TAILOR. She pushed me into job searching which I wasn’t exactly thrilled on
starting but like I said she is a sassy little thing. I do what she says.
We had a very interesting craw fish experience and successfully made our own
how to eat a craw fish video.. step by step. Monica has details if you are interested in purchasing a copy for your own research.
We shared a lot of special moments that are unforgettable to us but you probably don’t want to hear about them anymore.
So Monica and I will keep them special and between us for now.

I tried to take as many pictures as I could. Who knows when I will see my sweet sister again. Hopefully soon. xoxo

Monica wasn’t thrilled on my shower routine. We took one… or two

After a lot of rain. We finally had a sunny day so we headed to Galveston to spend it on the beach.

lovely beach day

Monica snapping shots of the crowded beach and seawall.

I love to hear my sister laugh.

She is beautiful.

wide open view

Galveston, Texas

Monica was becoming embarrassed as I harassed strangers to take our picture.. hahaaa!

The DIVA getting her snow cone fix.

“you told me the sand wasn’t wet!”

It will dry..

I showed off a little driving La Sancha on the beach. Luckily nothing went wrong.

Ready for the cold water. Sporting a new bathing suit top compliments of Target.

We went on a little adventure to find our friends Marc and Claire anchored in the bay. I wanted Monica to see what it was like to be aboard at anchor. I’m sure she appreciates sleeping in the harbor now.

Relaxing on anchor

of course we had to do some girly stuff. we are sisters after all.

FINALLY we found the perfect one and I got to haggle with the lady to get a better price. So much fun! We should have been given champagne in this setting.

Pina being a total love bean for Monica.

First morning on the boat. Pancakes with caramelized bananas for breakfast.

We continued to eat really good food the entire time.

Monica’s home for the week.

Sadly Michael had to work the whole time. What a guy.

He is feeding the public now instead of me..

we were really interested in this little shop called the Milk Pal. We didn’t realize it was a little cafe. The cook gave us free samples while we looked around. It must have been Monica’s charm.

“your sending this to mom aren’t you?”

It’s just tea in a fancy glass…

the sweetest little kitties were everywhere at the milk pal.

yes we are eating again. we like to eat. a lot.

After the dress was altered by our dear friend TA TAILOR

Even though I couldn’t be there on the night. I was the first one to see this beautiful girl in her dress. Reminds me of Bell from Beauty and the Beast

and here we are! the crew. it must have been a bad hair day.

Another lunch date after some shopping. you know girl stuff.

Monica helped me pick out some herbs and after our neighbor Bent donated his citronella plant to me. The cockpit is looking very green.

We were picked up by canoe in this sunset to travel to Marc and Claire’s boat at anchor. It was a beautiful night on the water.

Exploring downtown Galveston. Much like Charleston with out the class.

sistas

so much love

we argue but not all the time.

damn do we look alike or what?

Mon and Wilbur,
I’m sorry I am not near by all the time. I am however always full of good advice. Don’t forget to call me more…. Will.
